My Bio

My name is Tauria. I'm a sixteen year old girl who likes to read, write, and on the occasion - draw! I mostly write fanfiction, which is a way for me to practice my writing skills, as well as an extremely fun hobby. I want to one day become a published author, though I'm not hoping for tons of fans and a movie deal. Just a published book... or several.

My writing process is extremely jumbled up. I get the original idea down, and then I open up a new document... and proceed to rewrite most of it. I play with until I'm happy, and then it gets published. I'm also extremely OCD about the formatting of my stories and about grammar. Not so much on spelling.

I love, love, love writing AU's (alternate universes), though I can't say they always turn out the way I want them too ; I also enjoy reading about romance, though I'm not as confident in my ability to write it, having never been in a romantic relationship myself. I'm a bit skittish when it comes to humor, because I'm not all that confident in my comedy abilities. The same goes with drama. I like to think that I'm good with suspense, but I'm probably not. Remembering to describe things is hard, and keeping people in character is sometimes complicated – though I do my best. To the point of avoiding whatever subject I want to talk about until it can be comfortably eased into a conversation without seeming too abrupt.

I don't plan my stories much – I find that planning them out makes me less interested in writing them, since I already know what's going to happen. Instead, I just start writing and let myself be as surprised as everyone else when things start happening. Though, right now this is catching up with me, because then I get stuck.

I like listening to music, but not while I'm writing or reading. Only when I'm thinking (which usually involves pacing back and forth in my room). I like having conversations with the characters and merging fandoms, though usually that all ends up being to fantastical to be put into a fanfiction. Still, it's fun and it helps generate ideas! I enjoy reading – a lot, a lot, a lot – and I have far too many books. I also love collecting things – currently My Little Ponies and LoTR stuff. I also like drawing and playing some video games.

So, I find that I have a lot of ramblings  that go on in my head, which are usually addressed to some random, unnamed person (in all probability they're probably supposed to be for the assortment of characters that live in the world that is my brain) and sometimes, I find that these are worth writing down. I store them in a random document somewhere, save them, and forget about them. Most of the time, they aren't worth anything (or, I don't think they are).
